Piper takes art classes at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) after school. Reads Lewis Carroll, becomes Alice in Wonderland (through 1979). Listens to Stravinsky's Les Noces. Fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Catherine Moore, brings Piper up to speed in math.
